June 23 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm AEST$100 – $125
Introduction to 3D Modelling
In this session, you will learn the basics of the best free software suites for 3D modelling in CAD and 3D sculpting. Learn the 3d modelling workflow and optimise your design for 3D Printing. You will learn how to create beautiful organic sculpted models with MeshMixer, including creating low poly and Voronoi models, as well as touching up models with brushes. You will learn the basics of CAD modeling with Fusion 360, including creating solid CAD models and smooth, elegant t-spline models.
Get a comparison of free vs. paid software, with a taster demonstration of Rhino 3D and Simplify 3D functionality. Receive a reference 3D model of yourself with live 3D scanning during the workshop Be confident in creating replacement parts for at work or home with 3D modelling skills and create your own life hacks. Participants must BYO laptop + charger cable and have Fusion 360 (Hobbyist licence) and MeshMixer pre-installed.
