Get Your Books Ready for Year End
Lunch & Learn
20 March 2020 | 12pm – 1pm
End of financial year is always approaching. It’s a good idea to make an early start on tidying and preparing your financial information.
To help make the most of tax opportunities available to business owners join this session and learn 7 things to consider before June 30.
…as a small business owner, there is always something extra to be focused on. We know it is important to think about our financial position, but we may not always know how to do that…it can feel a bit overwhelming.
The worse thing though is when we find out too late, what we could have done differently to improve our situation…if only we had known sooner.
During this week’s session Lucy will help find out before it is too late…:
* Best practices for bookkeeping
* How to keep your records
* Your financial responsibilities for your employees (and your self)
Lucy is a CPA with experience assisting small to large businesses in Auditing and Management Accounting. Lucy helps business owners who are captains of their business to take control of the business journey that they are on through ‘mapping the coordinates’ and figures to reach the destination to which they wish to arrive.
What makes Lucy different is that she designs systems, streamlines processes to improve efficiencies and implements financial reports that give her clients visibility and insights they need in their business in order to make the best strategic decisions.
What will you learn about this week?
You will leave this week’s Lunch & Learn session knowing:
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Organise accounts receivable
Payroll year end
Review profit and loss statement
Tax concessions for small businesses
How to prepare for this session?
To make the most of the session, please bring:
A notepad and pen
Your lunch (if you forget, you can pick up something from Flour & Bean Cafe or August Moon Chinese Restaurant, located next door)
The word accounting comes from the word accountability. If you are going to be rich, you need to be accountable for your money.
This event is FREE for Members of Canvas Coworking Inc.
Non-Members are also welcome to attend for $10.
Please note, lunch is NOT provided.
Interested, but unable to attend in person? You are welcome to book in and request a link to join the session LIVE on ZOOM.
Each week we present a Lunch & Learn session on a different tool, topic or technique. We focus on the core needs of entrepreneurs and business owners: storytelling; marketing; financial; systems; mindset; sales and legal. If you have a topic you would like us to cover, or you would like to present a topic, please send an email to email@example.com
